ALBA Party has called on The Scottish Government to break with the UK Government’s Four Nations approach to tackling Coronavirus.
This weeks update is brought to us by MP Neale Hanvey who has much experience through his career in the NHS.
Neale took the opportunity to face down Boris Johnson this week in Parliament at Prime Minister’s Questions.
As Neale highlights, Scotland now stands at a junction of continuing lockstep in the UK Government’s 4 Nations approach to Covid-19 or for the Scottish Government to make its own decisions to best protect Scotland from the harms of the Coronavirus.
Unfortunately, the financial powers required to address Coronavirus and fund our recovery from it are in the hands of Westminster. That is why ALBA believe that Scotland must have those recovery powers right now, not in 5, or 6, or 7 years….or longer.
Only with independence can we ensure that Scotland’s recovery is in Scotland’s hands.
